Telenor Group is amoung the largest mobile operators in the world, and the third largest operator in Sweden. Telenor Sweden has two main business units; Business and Consumer. In the consumer market, the company provides high-speed broadband for Internet access, telephony, digital-TV and add-on broadband services. In the business market, Telenor Sweden offers data communication, telephony, DSL and IP-based communication services.

Telenor Sweden has close to 2 million mobile subscriptions, almost 700.000 broadband subscriptions, and 450.000 fixed telephony subscriptions (including VoIP). In Sweden, Telenor is a leading total supplier of communication services such as mobile, fixed telephony and data services.

Telefónica is one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies by market cap. Its activities are centred mainly on the fixed and mobile telephony businesses, and the broadband business. It operates in 25 countries and its customer base exceeds 260 million globally. Telefónica’s growth strategy is focused on the markets in which it has a strong foothold: Spain, Europe and Latin America.

Mobitel Slovenia is the national mobile telecommunication operator, establishing and managing the infrastructure in Slovenia through their innovative technology and service solutions. Mobitel Slovenia was established in October 1991 as a limited liability company with the task of developing mobile telecommunications and creating a mobile network in Slovenia.

In November 1992, Mobitel Slovenia became a public limited company and in December 1995, Mobitel Slovenia was nominated by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, as the country's national operator. In 1996, Mobitel Slovenia becomes a member of the GSM Association

In June 2009 Lattelecom and Valimo launched Mobile ID services in Latvia based on Valimo Mobile ID technology. The services brought Lattelecom’s customers a convenient and secure way for online authentication and transaction confirmation. 

Using Valimo’s technology, Lattelecom offers the Mobile ID service platform to Latvian service providers and mobile operators. The Mobile ID users are able to securely sign in to online services and sign documents and transactions, simply by using their mobile phone. As mobile phones are typically always at hand, a legally binding digital signature can be done regardless of time or place.

Lattelecom launched the service with nine service providers, including Latvijas Krājbanka bank, Riga city council, Lattelecom’s and Latvijas Mobilais Telefons’ (LMT) online customer service, along with local enterprises and universities. Lattelecom handles user and transaction validation, making it easier for other service providers to join in. Lattelecom offers the Mobile ID service to third-party service providers in a variety of industries, including other Latvian mobile operators.

Elisa is today the leading Finnish communications service company, offering voice and telecommunication services, customised communications service solutions and network operator services for private, corporate and institutional customer. In June 2011 Elisa joined forces with Valimo to launch a mobile authentication and signature service using the Valimo Mobile ID solution. The mobile authentication service enables now Elisa subscribers to securely access internet banking, e-commerce and e-government applications, using their mobile phone to generate a legally binding electronic signature.
The MObile ID (Mobiilivarmenne in Finnish)  allows subscribers to simply enter their PIN code to generate the digital signature that secures their service access. Valimo's complete wireless strong authentication solution is based on PKI and ensures the highest levels of security and privacy for mobile transactions. The open and interoperable solution can be installed on any SIM card and comprises of the client software, back office servers and a number of security modules making it a one stop shop for operators and service providers.

TeliaSonera holds strong positions in mobile communications also in the emerging markets of Eurasia, including Turkey and Russia. At the end of 2006 TeliaSonera launched mobile services also in Spain. TeliaSonera provides high quality telecommunications services, including packaging and carrying content like sound, images, data, information, transactions and entertainment.

TeliaSonera is continuously exploiting new business opportunities on mobile and broadband networks, such as mobile data and IPTV, and expanding in the fast growing markets of Eurasia. The number of TeliaSonera subscribers is above 115 million and the TeliaSonera share is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm and NASDAQ OMX Helsinki stock exchanges.
