Introduction
The WAP PKI specification requires that the CA certificate stored in the mobile phone is available in the WPKI format. Since most CAs publishes their CA certificate in the X.509 format, there is a need to convert (encode) CA certificates into the WPKI format.
The Valimo WPKI Certificate Encoder is an easy-to-use, Java-based application to convert CA certificates from x.509 or WTLS format to the WAP WPKI format.
Requirements
To be able to use the Valimo WPKI Certificate Encoder you need:
- PC with Java Run-time Environment (JRE) version 1.4.
- A set of certificates in X.509 format or WTLS format
- A storage media for converted certificates
