The Solution

Valimo Validator enables digital signature services for both mobile and fixed line Internet users. It is a standalone server software offering its services through standardized interfaces like ETSI M-COMM.

With Valimo Validator an operator, a financial institute, certification authority or other corporations have the option to take on the role as a Trust Service Provider (TSP) for selling secured transaction handling to third-party businesses as a service.

System environment

The user authentication and transaction validation is based on digital signatures created on a SIM, WIM or any other PKI-based smart card in the user’s client device. The client device can be a mobile phone, PC, PDA, set-top-box or any other similar type of device with PKI-functionalities.

Valimo Validator provides a standard, easy-to-use service interface for content and service providers. Content providers’ services use Valimo Validator to secure the critical transactions.

The Solution
The Valimo MSS-SDK enables third parties to use the ETSI-specified MSS interface for sending signing requests to mobile phone subscribers.

The third party communicates with a Valimo-Validator-MSSP, by making SOAP RPC calls. A typical connection is protected by SSL to ensure privacy and authenticates the third party through the useof an ID-string, password and SSL Client Certificate.
