The diagram below describes a secure mobile authentication process:
1. consumer is making a purchase e.g. from an Internet shop (Service Provider) 2. Service provider requests authentication from this consumer through a service offered by mobile operator 3. Mobile operator requests a digital signature from the consumer 4. Consumer signs the signature using his mobile phone by typing PIN code 5. Mobile operator receives authentic digital signature and provices validation for the service provider 6. Service provider is certain of the user's identity and processes the purchase
