HELSINKI, Finland – 24 January 2008 – Valimo Wireless has been named as a Category Finalist for the GSMA 2008 Mobile Innovation Global Award, sponsored by Ericsson, for the Most Innovative Consumer Application or Service. Being an award finalist recognizes Valimo’s mobile signature and identity solution as “best of breed”.
This is the second phase of the awards process whereby the judges have narrowed down the shortlist to ten category nominees - two from each of the five categories - who will present their innovative technologies to a judging panel at the Mobile Innovation Marketplace held in Barcelona, 11-12 February 2008. One finalist from each of the five categories and one overall winner will be selected and announced in Barcelona.
“We are thrilled with the number of high-quality entries we’ve received this year for the Mobile Innovation Global Awards,“ says Bill Gajda, Chief Commercial Officer of the GSMA. “The Mobile Innovation Marketplace in Barcelona will play a major role in redefining how new mobile products and services are brought to market and provides a rare opportunity for innovators to pitch their new technologies and business propositions to senior executives within the mobile operator community.”
