Vodafone Sweden and Valimo evaluate mobile e-ID

9.3.2006 - Helsinki Vodafone Sweden and Valimo evaluate how to improve usability and security for corporate remote access with mobile e-ID.

Mobile e-ID means the possibility to generate digital signatures with the mobile phone. The so-called mobile signature is the equivalent of a conventional, legally binding signature on a paper contract. In that respect, a mobile e-ID is comparable to a handwritten signature and the process of authenticating yourself by showing your driving license.

Vodafone Sweden evaluates the mobile e-ID from a corporate customer’s perspective and will use Valimo Validator- MSSP to provide a VPN authentication service for Vodafone Sweden’s employees.
