The terms of the deal are not disclosed. The acquisition strengthens Valimo’s market-leading product offering in strong authentication and mobile signature service provisioning by enabling dramatic improvements in both user experience and service delivery. “Users face a difficult tradeoff today when seeking to make transactions online, or to access corporate IT resources,” said Will Cardwell, Valimo CEO. “They either experience a time-consuming process to establish their identity, like using one-time password generators or password lists, or sacrifice security by simply entering a static username and password which can be copied, stolen or forgotten. Valimo has spent the last six years developing a simple but complete solution to this challenge based on the easy use of mobile phones and the security of a unique SIM card.” “UniqMinds’ PEAKm technology allows Valimo to make exciting improvements to our market-leading solution for mobile phone-based strong authentication, which is already in use in 10 countries today and growing fast.
