| News Archive 200327.03.2003 Helsinki - Radiolinja, one of Finland's most popular mobile operators, has upgraded its wireless PKI strategy by enabling a centralized signature verification and certificate validation service. In addition to the investments into a S/WIM distribution process with certificates for each mobile phone subscriber and a Certification Authority, Radiolinja has taken another big step towards enabling its corporate customers to utilize WPKI-based security services. Thus, corporate customers can now utilize the digital signing function of GSM WAP phones to have mobile subscribers generate non-repudiable electronic transactions. Among the services to be rolled out is secure login to corporate intranets with a mobile phone. The move to offer a centralized signature verification and certificate validation option now enables Radiolinja and its business partners to mass-market security applications without reinventing the wheel for each service offering. For readers interested in the details of the project, Nokia's case study is available at Valimo's web site.
