Ubisecure and Valimo Demonstrates Inter-operable Solution
Cutting edge product integration allows users accessing web-based applications to be authenticated using GSM phones as a PKI based personal trusted device.

Finnish security solutions companies Ubisecure Solutions, Inc. and Valimo Wireless Oy announced today having developed an inter-operable solution where mobile phones can be used as personal strong authentication devices when authenticating for network solutions and resources.

The joint solution is based on the integration of Ubilogin, which is Ubisecure's flagship product for Single Sign-on to web-based services, and Valimo Validator, which is Valimo's main product for transaction validation and user authentication. In the solution, the user is required to digitally sign an authentication request with his mobile phone before access for requested resources is granted. Ubilogin handles the user management and single-sign-on authorization and user authentication using mobile phones is taken care by Valimo Validator.

"In all solutions and services where accessible resources are based on the user's identity, user authorization is the next natural step right after the user has been successfully authenticated. The common solution will be released at Data Security Expo 2002, 22-23 October 2002 in Helsinki Fair Centre and commercially available immediately.
