Juha Murtopuro, CEO, Head of Sales: Mr. Murtopuro has managed Valimo as the CEO since September 2008, and today he is also leading the Valimo sales. Murtopuro joined Valimo in spring 2008 as SVP, Sales and Marketing. In his first role he lead the growth of Valimo's worldwide business and the expansion Valimo Mobile ID into a global solution for highly secure authentication.

Before joining Valimo, Murtopuro has worked as the Chief Marketing Officer at the location and navigation service provider Wayfinder Systems Ab which was recently acquired by Vodafone. In 2007, Wayfinder acquired mobile phone navigation company Navicore, where Murtopuro worked as the CEO.

Prior to Navicore, he has worked in various global management roles at Nokia including Sales Director for China and Asia-Pacific region.

Murtopuro has MS in economics from Helsinki School of Economics.

 

Marika Pirhonen, Vice President: Marika Pirhonen leads Valimo's global marketing and is in charge of the global corporate communications and PR, including analyst relations. She oversees Valimo's marketing strategy and operations.

Pirhonen has diverse experience spanning across the wireless industry. Prior to her position at Valimo, Pirhonen worked as the Marketing and Communications Manager in the the mobile email and messaging software development company SEVEN. She was responsible for the global SEVEN brand and product marketing as well as marketing & communications operations for both EMEA and APAC regions. Previously, she has worked as a Marketing Executive at TietoEnator, a professional services company providing IT, R&D and consulting services.

Pirhonen holds a MS in Marketing from the Hanken School of Economics and has a BBA in International Business from the Helsinki School of Economics.

Seppo Pohja, CTO: Seppo Pohja joined Valimo in November 2009, and is today in charge of Valimo's technology strategy, research and development.

Prior to Valimo, Mr. Pohja has acted as Senior Manager at Nokia where he has led system programs that created the authentication and connectivity solutions for global Internet services. Over the years, he has been working in a number of other research and development activities including roadmapping, strategy formulation, program management, systems security and architecture.

Pohja has also held research and visiting scholar positions at Tampere University of Technology, Stanford University, NASA-Ames Research Institute of Advanced Computer Science and Swedish Institute of Computer Science.

Mr. Pohja holds D.Sc. in Technology from Helsinki University of Technology. He holds several patents in various fields of computer science including cryptography and security.
